So how do we go from ‘I need a copywriter’ to ‘Wow… that’s incredibly amazing copywriting you’ve
done there Claire, thanks ever so much for making it so easy and awesome’? Let me explain …

I make it easy with my simple 5-step WRITE process ...

1. Workshop your goals

We’ll kick things off with a quick strategy session. It’s basically a bit of chat about your goals are and what you aim to achieve with your copy. Whether you’re looking to boost brand awareness, drive sales, or improve SEO, this step ensures that we’re aligned right from the start. Your goals become our roadmap. 

2. Roadmap creation

Once we’ve had a chat about what you need and how we can work together, I’ll send you a proposal that outlines everything we’ve
planned including:

  • An outline of the copy deliverables
  • The timeline – what you can expect and when
  • Pricing and payment plan
  • Terms and conditions
  • Everything else you need to know before we kick off

You’ll know exactly what to expect, when, and how. Then you get to relax while I move into step 3 and 4.

3. Insight gathering  

To create compelling copy, I need to understand your business, your clients, and your competition. This way, the copy I create isn’t just words on a page. It’s a reflection of your brand’s identity, tailored to speak directly to your clients’ needs and aspirations. 

  • Your product or service:  Ever wanted to talk endlessly about how amazing you are? Here’s your chance. I want to know it all. But this isn’t just about facts and figures; it’s about understanding your passion, your tone of voice, and the message you want to convey. Don’t worry – I make it easy and completely pain-free. I’ll ask all the questions and I’m super-efficient at getting the info I need as quickly as possible. It won’t hurt a bit.  
  • Your clients: I’ll also be taking the time to get to know the who, what, why, and how of your customers. I may even suggest that I chat with some of them to get firsthand insights. This helps me understand their motivation drivers and craft copy that speaks directly to their pain points – making your messaging all the more effective.
  • Your competitors: Knowing your competitors is key to understanding what sets you apart. It means I can position you uniquely in the marketplace and create copy that stands out and captures attention.

By aligning closely with your vision and values, the content we craft together won’t just be seen — it will be felt. And when it comes to creating compelling copy that drives action, that’s what makes all the difference.

4. Tailored copy creation

This is where the good stuff happens. The writing, the words, the …. magic. This involves 3 simple steps:

    1. The skeleton: By this stage, you’ll know exactly what the plan for your copywriting is. But just to be sure, I’ll give you a ‘skeleton draft’ that will outline exactly what pages I’ll be writing, what will be included in each, and the general flow and messaging. 
    2. The first draft: Once that’s good to go, I’ll create the first draft. Rest assured, 99% of the time, my first draft is 99% ‘just right’.  
    3. Tweaks and titivations: Here’s the bit where we can add, amend, or change anything that’s not quite right. 

5. Enhance and revise

While I aim to nail the copy on the first draft, achieving excellence sometimes takes a bit of refinement. This crucial stage is where we polish and perfect your copy. It’s all about collaboration and fine-tuning to ensure the final product not only meets but exceeds your expectations.

I understand the importance of getting every detail just right. That’s why I encourage you to share your feedback and request any changes you feel are necessary. This process is about polishing and enhancing the copy, ensuring it aligns perfectly with your brand’s voice and vision.

Rest assured, the process is streamlined and efficient. My goal is to make this stage as smooth and effortless for you as possible, often requiring minimal adjustments thanks to the thorough groundwork laid in the earlier stages.
